When the Swedish American Center held its annual board meeting, former Governor of Värmland Eva Eriksson was thanked and commended for her efforts as Chairman, a position she has held for more than 8 years. In accordance with The Swedish American Center bylaws linking chairmanship to incumbent governorship, Eva is replaced by succeeding Governor of Värmland, Kenneth Johansson.
The Swedish American Center will host the 2013 annual meeting of the Association of European Migration Institutions (AEMI). The meeting will take place in Karlstad, Sweden on 2-6 October. More information will be published shortly.
