The magazine is a quarterly entirely based on Swedish emigration to North America. Between 1860 and 1920 some 1,2 million Swedes settled in U.S.A. and Canada. Today approximately 5 million Americans claim Swedish ancestry.
There are descendants of the Swedish immigrants all over North America. Every immigrant has, in one way or another, contributed to the development of U.S.A. and Canada. Through communication with their families in Sweden, they have also exported thoughts and ideas that have had an impact in the country they once left.
