Ragnar Carlsson is one of the many Swedes who sought to find the better life in America during the emigration peak. (1860-1930) In 1923, he left his home in Western Värmland, and eventually returned with his wife and children in 1959. Full of impressions, he decided to release them in book form with Jag sålde inte mitt liv. Poet Eva Thorstensson has compiled Ragnar's stories, thoughts and emotions into an epic, poetic timeline.
