Tommy Hellström: Pionjärerna från Värmland
More than 100 000 people emigrated from Värmland to North America during the period of 1850-1930. More than a million swedes emigrated, seeking for a new and better furture. Most settled in the midwest, but a small group of emigrants, mostly from Småland found its way to Texas. Some of them would later have a very strong influence on the Swedish colonies in the state.
