South of the old cemetary in Rose Hill, five miles north of Lindsborg, Kansas, there was once a mission church. The structure of stone was finished in 1874 and could hold roughly 150 people. It was built on land donated by August Brandt, for whom the place was named, and construction was supervised by the pioneer Magnus Carlson.
